Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
When I had a baby at my side and other children in the cradle, I would work 12 hour shifts sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! All was beginning to fall into place, however there was still a long way to go. It would take an enormous amount of effort as well as my favourite brands of furniture to furnish this home. In order to stay within my budget, I began going to estate sales with three boys searching for jewels in the rough. Our routine was of walking around garage sales and auctions on Sundays and Saturdays and purchase a range of pieces old and newly created. It was my job to spend the day in the driveway painting or sanding. My first impression was like... this is the moment my love for restoring furniture was born. After our home was finished, I didn't want to quit! The local market had space for me to market my items. In the end, I had numerous pieces that I did not know what to do and outgrew the space. I held open houses in my home where one 000 visitors would pass through during a weekend. the visitors were able to purchase items on the first floor. This is where my business Growing Days was born. Growing Days wasn't just a thriving business but it was also a loving family. As a young mom I was able to find the perfect balance to both start my own company and become a great mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora, my 4th kid was born in 2013. The direction my company was heading was excellent, however I was forced to get some down time. I made the decision to take a break and stay at home, with my kids. This was just what I needed. However, after just a couple of minutes the phone started getting busy. I was getting calls from people asking me to help with their home improvement and interior design. Most of them visited my home during my furniture open houses. Once I had a few months I began to take on customers at my pace. Soon I had multiple accounts, as well as a house renovations business. You would probably have laughed at me had you told me this was going to be the subject of an DIY Network tv series. In the present, as I reflect on the situation, I find myself laughing.
