Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 during an Olympic occasion. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci at just six years old. Her first competition was at the national junior championships of 1969 placing 13th and she took the title in the year 1970. In her first international competition in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974, she was an the all-around junior champion. She won four gold and one silver medals in her senior debut international competition, held in 1975. This was her first time she participated as an adult. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first female to do a backward double salto as a dismount from the uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey into the realm of entertainment started in her teens. Together with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in the entertainment business when she was a teenager. At the age of 13, Carol began as a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured skaters who were followed by musical performances.
